The symbol of humanity becomes a shocking reality with forbidden design!
In 2006, the lineup was completely discontinued right after its release. The legendary figures will return for another debut as 3D data product, powered by Kickstarter, a crowdfunding platform.
BLAST Inc. (Head Office: 3331 Arts Chiyoda, 6-11-14 Sotokanda, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo / Representative: Junya Okabe) announces a crowdfunding project to commercialize “PQ”, a figure series initially released in 2006, on Kickstarter from Thursday, December 23, 2021 to Monday, January 24, 2022 (Japan Standard Time / UTC +09:00). Along with the project, BLAST will release on YouTube the original promotional videos of the figures once removed from Niconico Douga (video posting platform) as inappropriate.

■ What is PQ?
PQ is a figure series originally commercialized in Japan in 2006.
At the time of release, they went viral among maniacs as “forbidden” art figures that twisted the familiar image with the imagination defying common sense and morals.
In this project, the original figures are converted as data through the latest 3D scanning technique.
The data are precise representation embodying all details of eight original figures.
“PQ” will be simultaneously available to the fund supporters across the world as 3D data if enough fund is raised at Kickstarter, the global funding site.
Please note that there is no plan for commercialization of the products after this crowdfunding project.
The 3D data is in STL, which the user can view on standard Windows and Mac software without having a 3D printer or 3D software.
■ The promotional videos initially deleted as inappropriate will be released for a limited period!
When the product was initially commercialized in 2006, bizarre promotional videos depicting figures’ attractions were released online.
The PVs were initially considered inoffensive, but the operator of Niconico Douga (video posting platform) removed one of the clips as “inappropriate” right after the release. In view of the platform’s decision, another PV waiting for release was cancelled because of its contents.
Seven video clips except for “Melting,” which was withdrawn at the initial launch, will be released.
“Poop,” the clip removed from the video posting platform, will be partially pixelated for the release.
The crowdfunding to commercialize 3D data will start from today Thursday, December 23, 2021 to Monday, January 24, 2022 (Japan Standard Time / UTC +09:00).
The return will be executed only when the raised fund reaches one million yen, the target amount.
Please see the project page for the return details!
